We are lucky to have 2 high speed rib rafts at our disposal. They give us a unique opportunity to experience the area of Nordfjord from the fjord, and we would like to share this opportunity with you.

Our experienced drivers take you out on the fjord in stable and safe RIB-boats. The tour starts from the quayside in Olden (at the Olden Cruise harbor). Therefore, this tour is a good option for the whole family. You can enjoy around 30-45 minutes on the fjord, and you’ll remember it for lifetime.

I did a “Kjerag summer hike” with Outdoorlife Norway on August, 30th and I totally loved it! Many thanks to our guide – Johannes – with whom the hike was definitely easier, safer and of course more interesting. It’s always a pleasure to deal with people who are passionate about their work and do it professionally.
We were lucky with the weather – it was a sunny day so we were able to enjoy fantastic views. The hike does require a physical effort, but if you practice some physical activity on a regular basis you should be ok. You will probably feel a bit of muscle tension in your legs for a few hours after the hike, but it’s a pleasant sort of tiredness like after a good work out. I used hiking poles which I’d been dismissing before and as it turned out – quite unjustly: the poles do help a lot, they allow to distribute the load between your muscles more evenly, provide additional support when you go up and keep you from sliding when you descend.
As for getting onto the boulder – to me it was much more of a test than the hike itself 🙂

P.S. Do follow the recommendations given in the information package sent along with the booking confirmation as they will make your hikes a more enjoyable and safe experience.

We visited Stavanger in July and went on Outdoor Lifes Kjerag Summer Hike. Johannes was our guide and we had the best day! He told so many interested stories that we would not have known doing the walk ourselves. This hike was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and we would recommend if your travelling with others or by yourself as it is very sociable. There were many steep and rocky parts but Johannes gave great advice on the best way to get up. Thanks for the great day!

I had Johannes, the owner of this small company, as our guide for Kjerag hike. I knew it would be good weather thanks to our communication before the tour. It was indeed fantastic! During the whole time of guiding us to the top, driving us back to Stavanger, Johannes has been very attentive and energetic. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about outdoor life, arctic circle, and very friendly. Equally important, we had a nice group and overall that made my trip to Norway wonderful. Many thanks!

My husband and I did the day hike to Kjerag in mid June. Since the area had a very mild spring, there was still a decent amount of snow on the upper part of the trail. Our guide, Johannes, provided spikes for our boots as well as hiking poles at no extra charge. The spikes came in very handy, especially walking back down the very steep third hill in the snow.

I highly recommend doing this hike with a guide. Johannes knew the best ways to get up and down all of the hills. He also knew where the trail actually was and not where people assumed it was since half of it was still covered in snow. He had a great place picked out with amazing views for us to stop for lunch! He even stood in the snow for about 15 minutes waiting to take our pictures as we stood on Kjeragbolten. He promptly sent us pictures that evening that he had taken throughout the day.

The group was small, only about 7 people, so it was a very personalized trip. The views were amazing and it was a rush to be able to stand on Kjeragbolten! I definitely recommend doing this hike, because the views are worth the hike! And I recommend going with Johannes and Outdoorlife Norway. We had a great experience on this trip! If you plan on also hiking to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), I would suggest doing Kjerag first because it makes the hike to Preikestolen seem relatively easy in comparison.
